Well I have not blogged since I got engaged. But I seriously need to vent. I thought being engaged would be a joyous occasion. It was.....for like a day. Now all the stress starts, of trying to plan this one day. Don't get me wrong, I am going to have fun planning it, but it seems like all the people who tell you not to try to make everyone happy, are the ones who need to be kept happy.
And everything I like is more expensive. The cake I like, the guy I want to cater, the hall I want, the tables I want, the chairs I want. EVERYTHING!!!!
So now we are looking into another place that is 22 miles from Streator. So now I am worrying that people won't want to drive there for the reception....which is silly. I mean I can't worry about all my guests plus the stuff I am worrying about already. Then I am worried about Todd's family having a decent place to stay for the weekend. If I don't have an ulcer by the end of this I will be very surprised.
On a lighter note, I have tried on several dresses, which has been fun. Except last night. My friend Mistie and I went to House of Brides. All the dresses were just hanging there, not in plastic or anything. Some of them were pretty dirty. I was a little skeeved out by that. Then we get into the dressing room and there is an earwig on the door. Mistie got a leg up and knocked it down. Then I was worried about walking barefoot in the store. I am weird about germs! The lady I got to help us was kind of rude. She wasn't very friendly at all. Why can't I catch a break on the people at the bridal shops. David's Bridal wasn't much better. That woman just had the most hideous smoker's breath. And I was her giant Barbie doll. But she was nicer than last night's lady! How bad of a job could it be to see all these beautiful dresses all day long? And help girls with the best day of their lives? But whatever. I did find the bridesmaid dresses that I really liked. Hope all you girls like them!!!! I will email you the picture of them.
Ok, well I am at work, getting ready to get out of here! Toodles!
